I am blessed to be remarried to a wonderful man, with two great teenagers, we are not the most typical family. I am mostly Portuguese, and my husband is all Polish; we are an interfaith family and raise our children honoring traditions of both Judaism and Christianity. We have home-schooled, for over six years, and enjoy it, though it comes with challenges of course. We did not set out to home-school; it was based out of need for our twice exceptional son (he has a learning disability and is profoundly gifted). We've done it all from hatching quail in my office to supplying NASA with butterflies for the recent space shuttle flight. At the end of the day, we take our differences and melt into a family dinner, a "must" in our home is that we eat together.

I am a syndicated writer and radio host, and am able to do both from my home office that my husband built for me in our den. I also am an author, and life/business/wellness coach and founded and direct a national online coop for twice-exceptional children in public, charter or home school situations. I am a former news anchor and choreographer, and for years owned a dance and yoga studio.http://www.michelepaiva.com/

I LOVE where I live! I grew up here, moved away and moved back, literally, as close to my childhood home as I could, because I think it is the best place to raise a family. I'm three roads from my childhood home! We have the best parks, we have stores where the store owners know your name, and we are close to malls and outlets. Smacked right between Philadelphia and Lancaster, we can either take a ride about forty minutes in one direction and see the the energy of Philadelphia, or forty in the other direction and experience a different culture with Lancaster. Additionally, we are the home of the Blob Diner! There is Hibernia Park, Marsh Creek, East Brandywine Park, French Creek, Kerr Park; So many great parks with activities from boating to hiking paths galore. I love it!
