Tricia Streit Perez, the owner of One Fit Mama®, has an extensive history in the Health and Fitness Fields.

She graduated in 1997 with a B.S. in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training from Barry University. In 2002, she received her M.S. in Sports Management from Florida International University.

She was certified as an Athletic Trainer (ATC) by the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) in 1997, and was licensed to practice in the state of Pennsylvania in 2003.

Prior to Caleb’s birth, she was employed as a Certified Athletic Trainer by Temple University Athletics. Before this, she held similar positions at Florida State University and Florida International University. Besides working in NCAA Div. I level collegiate athletics, she has also worked in the clinical setting with prominent Orthopedic Surgeons, and has been involved at all levels of sport, from youth sports to professional sports.

Tricia has done extensive research on women in Athletic Training, and has published an article regarding this in Athletic Therapy Today. She has given various lectures on women and minorities in Athletic Training, drug testing in athletics, career issues for Athletic Trainers, Prenatal Fitness, and Getting your body back after baby. Additionally, she has had articles specific to Prenatal and Postpartum fitness published in both local and national print and electronic media. Tricia has worked as both a lecture and laboratory professor at Florida State University and Florida International University. In addition to her degrees, Tricia is certified by ACE, DSW, and SCW in Pre- and Post-Natal Fitness.

She lives in Oreland, PA with Caleb. One Fit Mama® was created in June 2005. After the birth of her son, Caleb, in February 2005, Tricia found that it was difficult for herself and many other Mothers to resume normal exercise routines, and to have to choose between taking care of Mom and taking care of baby. Many gyms do not have child care, and most don’t have any pre- or post-natal fitness specialists. Considering all of this, Tricia decided to merge both of her passions, her family and career, and One Fit Mama® was born. One Fit Mama® addresses the fitness and wellness needs of mothers, mothers-to-be, and entire families!  Tricia grew up as both a gymnast and as a recreational athlete.

After creating One Fit Mama® and becoming inspired by all the amazing Moms she worked with, she took up running. She has ran in many 5 and 10K’s, and is still aspiring to become a "runner”.
